Lawrence Grumer
Founder, Managing Director

Lawrence Grumer established TAA in 1994 after a number of years with Arthur D. Little, Inc., to work with organizations to expand the commercialization potential of their technology research, product and service concepts. He held P&L business management and turn-around, corporate sales and marketing, program management and technical positions for; Arthur D. Little, Inc., Foster-Miller, Inc., Textron Inc. (Avco), and John Brown Group. He has founded five companies. He brings a hands-on perspective for needed action in client companies to help leverage the organization's assets for success.

He is Chairman Emeritus of the IEEE Boston Entrepreneurs' Network, an organization he led for nearly a decade. He is a Founding Board member of a regional technology council, and was elected Officer of the IEEE, and Vice Chairman of AIAA-New England. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of corporate business and non-profit organizations.

He is National Science Foundation Grant Reviewer, past instructor at the School of Technological Entrepreneurship at Northeastern University, and a guest Lecturer at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has served on Executive Committees for the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Venture Forum, Northeastern University MBA Alumni Association, the New England Defense Conversion Task Force and the Massachusetts Manufacturing Partnership.

Lawrence has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and an MBA (with honors) with International Marketing and Finance concentration from Northeastern University. He has held a Top Secret clearance.
